Lead Stock Associate

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Receiving all stock for Dining unit 
  • Rotating stock appropriately 
  • Training temporary and student stock room staff 
  • Working closely with Chef and General Manager to ensure appropriate product and amounts are pulled in a timely manner 
  • Ordering all chemical, paper, and beverage products for Dining unit 
  • Effectively managing C-Bord functions including inventory, invoice receiving, ordering, and issuing paperwork 
  • Maintain “food service rewards” program by entering data so credits can be issued 
  • Tracking product shortages, damages, and mispicks; communicate them to Assistant Director to ensure that proper credits are received 
  • Maintain high standards for the stockroom 
  • Model the Division’s mission and values, introduce the Division’s mission and values to the employees, and foster a positive, cohesive workplace and congeniality among co-workers.
  • Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and understand how employees’ work activities, teamwork, and customer service impact clients. Work with your supervisor and colleagues to understand these goals and the culture.
  • Adhere to all University policies, procedures, and regulations, and Division standard operating practices and protocols.
  • Due to operational needs of the NC State Dining department, an employee may be assigned to work in any NC State Dining department including, but not limited to, catering and special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met. Duties in other locations may be assigned by management to utilize knowledge and skills during peak or slow periods, or when emergency situations occur in other areas.
