The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the pick up and delivery of equipment for dining and catering function locations and to supervise the transportation unit of NC State Dining

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Supervise transportation unit of department
  • Ensure well-maintained fleet of catering and dining vehicles
  • Established driver training program and fleet service record keeping system. Responsible for routine preventative maintenance, inspection, keep proper records of maintenance and fueling of all vehicles. Follow maintenance schedules provided by NCSU Motor Pool.
  • Responsible for inventory control of supplies and equipment for Catering.
  • Develop, distribute, and monitor execution of the delivery/transportation schedule.
  • Schedule employees using specific departmental software.
  • Drive truck and make catering and/or dining deliveries. Load and unload cargo at each location, assist with setup and breakdown.

Required License:

  • Valid Driver’s License required. State vehicle furnished to drive to events or other Campus Enterprises locations.
  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License must be maintained as a condition of employment.
