This position serves as a catering event coordinator for Rave! Catering at NC State University. Responsible for coordinating a variety of catered events for campus and ensuring that each event is set up and runs smoothly.

Duties include, but are not limited to,

  • Organize all staff, equipment and logistics of events, as well as the pre-event logistics that include entering data information into the EventMaster software system.
  • It is critical to ensure everything that is needed for a particular event is on hand or is ordered in a timely manner to make each occasion successful.
  • Professional and friendly customer service is critical for the success of this role and in representing RAVE! catering for the University.
  • Supervise the events and follow-up with clients. This position must understand the catering menu and be knowledgeable about menu selections based on the event and setting. It is an expectation for this role to initiate creative ideas for event set up, presentation, and flow.
  • Manage and run events that vary from small break services to large plated meals. These events may have no staff to assist or you may be overseeing and supervising many to ensure the success of the event.
