Job Responsibilities:

As the General Manager, you will drive the daily operations of Eastcut Sandwich Bar. You will ensure the operation is meeting its goals in food preparation and service experience. You will directly lead the FOH Manager and Kitchen Manager, setting them up for success in their individual roles and establishing team cohesion. Culinary experience is a plus, as you will sometimes be needed to take a hands-on approach with the Kitchen and help manage ordering and inventory. You will also work directly with senior leadership to drive menu innovation, promote new specials & flavor profiles, and meet other high-level management goals in revenue, cost-management, and team culture. This will be a great learning opportunity, as you will be exposed to all aspects of restaurant ownership and management. Below are some of the things that we will expect of you:

  • Practice Smiling Hospitality and ensure Team Members do the same – provide all guests with a five-star experience
  • Maintain highest quality standards in food production following Eastcut QA guidelines
  • Maintain highest standards of food safety (responsible for maintaining high scores on health department inspections)
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and ensure proper training of all Team Members and Managers
  • Manage employee morale programming and ensure utmost team member satisfaction
  • Help managers schedule team member shifts to appropriately meet the volumes of the business
  • Ensure managers are maintaining appropriate inventory levels, ordering correctly, and managing vendor relationships appropriately
  • Manage guest concerns/complaints using Eastcut guest response guidelines
  • Log vendor invoices using Eastcut guidelines (both hard copy and digital formats)
  • Properly maintain the property by scheduling vendors to perform routine maintenance (HVAC/refrigeration, pest, fire safety, etc.)

Job Requirements:

  • Hospitality experience required, management experience required
  • Previous Hospitality or Culinary education is a plus
  • Current ServSafe Manager certificate is a plus – we provide training if not certified
  • Ability to learn and willingness to explore all aspects of operation
  • Eagerness to train and coach other Team Members in all aspects of operation
  • A natural at showcasing Smiling Hospitality and inspiring Team Members to do the same
  • Self-starter, with the ability to challenge yourself, ask questions, work hard, and grow
